New Month, new Calendar Activities

With the new month just starting the kiddos and I have started a new morning activity to get our school day started. We actually started it on the 30th, mainly b/c the new month began mid week. Even B2 and M2 are picking up on the songs!

Here is the basic set up


We go over: The days of the week, the months of the year, the weather, what day of school we are on, color of the day, our weekly Bible verse (which coordinates with H4's letter of the week, the children are singing, coloring, counting money, and learning all in the process!

H4 coloring what day of school we are on - after this we count starting at 1 up to the day we are at (counting practice )



B5 writing what day of the month it is

B5 filling in what day of school we are doing - learning place value, 100's, 10's, 1's
